On Friday Despite a rise in number of cases of coronavirus and shutdown enforced in select cities, domestic equity induces paused their losing streak. Today the market bounced on smart gains in energy, pharma and FMCG stocks. Looking at the week-long index, the Nifty dropped 11.8%. This week, while the Sensex fell 12% and the Bank Nifty dropped 19.8%. The midcap index dropped 13% this week while the pharma index dropped 4.3% this week. The metal index declined by 10.5% and the IT index by 8.3%. However Yes Bank is growing at 145%. This week Cadila Health is up 16%, ONGC 11%, ITC 9% and Lupine 6%.

It is an option strategy where the investor holds position in both call and put options with different strike prices but with the same maturity date. When there is a big movement in the price of the underlying asset then only this strategy it is profitable.
 3. Butterfly
This strategy is a limited risk, neutral options strategy which combines four option contracts having the same expiry but has different strike prices. It is a combination of bull as well as bear spread.

NIFTY TAKES A BREATH BEFORE FRESH SELLING

There is a strong short covering in the stock market before the Weekly Expiry.Nifty  closed
at a 38-month low.The Nifty has fallen 205 points to close at 8263 in todays trade. At the same time, the Sensex has fallen 581 points to close at 28,288. The midcap index has fallen 531 points to close at 12,065. At the same time,banknifty fell 497 points to close at 20084.Today metal index closed at an 11-year low & huge sell-off saw in metal & auto stocks today. The auto index has closed at a 6-year low today. Kotak bank 18%, hdfc bank 12%, then hero moto and bajaj auto have also recovered 10-10% from the lower level. HDFC Bank, Reliance, ICICI Bank was the most under pressure overall Bank Nifty has lost about 40% in 1 month.

NIFTY SCARED DUE TO CORONA

The fear of corona virus is pulling down the stock market every day; fear of corona dominates the market. Today market has closed at a 3-year low today. Sensex closed 5.59 % down at 28869 today, while nifty closed down 4 % at 8541. Banknifty has lost 1700 points. Private banks have slipped more. Indusind Bank has fallen 73% in 3 months.Today Indusind Bank has lost 30 %. This stock is looking at a 6-year low. Banks are the biggest contributor to the market collapse. Kotak bank 9 % &  hdfc twins have slipped 5-5 %. Bank Nifty is getting the highest selling pressure. Bank Nifty is broken 7 %. Indusind bank & SBI have recorded the biggest decline in the last two decades. ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra and Axis Bank have put pressure.On the other hand, telecom shares are scattered due to relief from SC. Consumer durable, psu, realty all are beaten up today. IT, auto stocks are also down today.

NIFTY TRYING TO HANDLE ITSELF

In today's market amid heavy fluctuations was seen. At the end of trading, the Sensex and Nifty closed with a big fall. The Nifty has closed below 9000. Bank Nifty put a lot of pressure on the market. Private banks saw the biggest decline in today's business. However, FMCG and pharma stocks have supported the market. The market is declining due to corona virus and global selling. The Sensex has fallen 811 points to close at 30,579. At the same time, the Nifty has fallen 230 points to close at 8967. Bank Nifty has fallen 946 points to close at 22,155.Giants like reliance, hul and itc are supporting the market. The volatility in Nifty Bank is more. Kotak, ICICI and HDFC Bank are under pressure. Yes Bank shares jump nearly 100% in 3 days.SBI, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Axis, Bajaj Finserv, indusind etc fell. The shares of Zee Entertainment slides 20%, indusind Bank, Infratel, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Fiserv were the biggest losers.
