MARKET SUMMARY OF 01 FEB 2016

The Sensex opened at 24,982, touched an intra-day high of 25,002 and low of 24,789. It finally ended with a loss of 45 points at 24,824. The  Nifty opened at 7,589 hitting a high of 7,600 and low of 7,541, before ending with a loss of mere eight points at 7,556. The Indian equity market closed with marginal losses on Monday amid a highly choppy session. After hitting intra-day high of 7600 mark in early trades, indices constantly struggled to find any specific direction. FMCG, telecom, capital goods and industrials were among the major gainers.

SKS Microfinance has given a clear breakout at levels of Rs 460. This stock has seen huge accumulation even with delivery based buying happening at levels of Rs 525. Having broken levels of Rs 550, the stock made a fantastic upmove till levels of Rs 550 plus and now it again retraced back and gave a very good entry opportunity again closer to levels of Rs 430. "In February, if you see SKS Microfinance has seen close to 17-18 percent open interest build up. I am very bullish on SKS Micro. One can look at targets of Rs 550 on the stock. I won’t be surprised even to say targets of Rs 590-600 for the February series, a stop loss at Rs 495 for short-term trader is a must,"SKS Microfinance on Wednesday 27 JAN 2016 reported nearly twofold increase in net profit at Rs 79,4 crore for the third quarter ended December 31.

The Sensex opened at 24,347, touched an intra-day high of 24,912 and low of 24,341. It finally ended with a gain of 401 points at 24,871. The Nifty opened at 7,413 hitting a high of 7,576 and low of 7,403, before ending with a gain of 139 points at 7,563.5. Yes Bank, Vedanta, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Hero MotoCorp, Coal India, Bajaj-Auto and Zee Entertainment were among the gainers on NSE, whereas Bank of Baroda, SBI, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Cairn India, PNB and ITC were among the losers today. The Indian Rupee was trading up 37 paise at 67.86 per US dollar.

The  Sensex opened at 24,482, touched an intra-day high of 24,587 and low of 24,401. It finally ended with a loss of 23 points at 24,492.

The  Nifty opened at 7,426 hitting a high of 7,469 and low of 7,410, before ending with a loss of 13 points at 7,425. Vedanta, Cain India, Power Grid, HUL, Zee Entertainment, M&M, ITC and RIL were among the gainers on NSE, whereas Idea Cellular, L&T, Bharti Airtel, PNB, Adani Ports, Tata Powers and Bajaj-Auto were among the losers today.

TODAYS RESULT:

ICICI Bank Ltd posted a net profit of Rs. 31223.50 mn for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs. 32653.20 mn for the quarter ended December 31, 2014. 

Total Income has increased from Rs. 230538.20 mn for the quarter ended December 31, 2014 to Rs. 255851.40 mn for the quarter ended December 31, 2015.

Gross NPA for the quarter stands at 4.72% as against 3.77% (QoQ).

HCC ended 4% higher at Rs. 21.

The Sensex opened at 24,643, touched an intra-day high of 24,646 and low of 24,458. It finally ended with a gain of mere six points at 24,492. The Nifty opened at 7,470 hitting a high of 7,478 and low of 7,420, before ending with a gain of mere two points at 7,437. The Indian equity market closed almost at the same zone where it had ended on Monday. After a mid-week break, indices were completely lackluster and were struggling to find any specific direction. MARKET SUMMARY OF 25 JAN 2016

The Sensex and Nifty pared some of their gains on Monday and closed on a flat note on account of selling in frontline blue chip stocks taking cues from European counterparts. The sentiments also came under pressure after Moody’s poll stated that the greatest challenge facing the Indian economy is exposure to external shocks such as interest rate hike in the US and slowdown in China and the risk has risen since last year. Sensex closed 50.29 points up at 24,485.95, while Nifty  index settled 13.70 points up at 7,436.15. Cairn India, Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank and Ambuja Cements gained between 1.80 per cent and 5.20 per cent. On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro, GAIL, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Adani Ports slid between 1.65 per cent and 2.70 per cent.

Colgate Palmolive (India) board meeting will be held on January 27, 2016, to take on record and approve the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2015. Colgate Palmolive has recently taken BREAKOUT support near Rs 900 zone and this zone is working as support well from last five series. Most of the times it turns from the major support of Rs 900 levels. In last two trading sessions, we have seen a built up of long position and now short covering is also being witnessed in the counter. It looks attractive at current level and is unable to standing the major support. So we recommend to sell the counter on any decline or at current level with a stop loss of Rs 905 for the downside target of Rs 855 to Rs 825 kind of levels."
