STOCK MARKET SUMMARY OF 18 MAR 2019


The last hour buying helped the market to end higher on Monday with Nifty finished above 11,450 level.At the close, the Sensex was up 70.75 points at 38095, while Nifty was up 35 points at 11462. About 1132 shares have advanced, 1545 shares declined, and 173 shares are unchanged. HPCL, IOC, Bajaj Finance, BPCL and JSW Steel were the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers include Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, Wipro, Bharti Airtel and HCL Tech.Among the sectors, IT and auto index remained under pressure throughout the day as they slipped 1 percent each, while some buying was seen in the metal, energy, FMCG and bank names.
BUZZING STOCKS
Shares of Lupin slipped 6 per cent to Rs 741 on the BSE in early morning trade in an otherwise strong market after the drug maker's Somerset facility was classified as Official Action Indicated (OAI) by the US health regulator. It was trading close to its 52-week low price of Rs 724 on May 15, 2018 in intra-day deal.

Mindtree surged as much as 2.38 per cent to Rs 968.55 in the early trade on Monday after the company announced it will consider share buyback plan on March 20 to fend off attempts by engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) from making a hostile takeover bid

STOCKS AND NIFTY MOVE OF 15 MAR 2019


The NSE's benchmark index Nifty50 closed above 11,400 level at 11,427, up 84 points or 0.74 per cent. The index hit a high of 11,487 levels during the   day. Both Sensex and Nifty reclaimed their crucial levels of 38,000 and 11,400 levels, respectively in the intra-day trade after a gap of six months.On a weekly basis,Sensex  gained 3.68 per cent and Nifty added 3.54 per cent. Market breadth remained in favour of declines as out 2,860 companies traded on BSE, 1,478 declined and 1,207 advanced while 175 remained unchanged. A total of 59 securities hit their 52-week highs while 111 scrips hit their one-year lows.
BUZZING STOCKSShares of Titan Company hit a new high of Rs 1,112, up 2.5 per cent, in intra-day trade. The firm is set to join the elite club of Rs 1-trillion market capitalization (market-cap) on the BSE. The stock, eventually settled at Rs 1,095 apiece on BSE, up nearly a per cent. Shares of UPL hit a new high of Rs 921, up 2 per cent, in intra-day trade, after more than two million shares of the agrochemicals company changed hands on the BSE through block deal. It settled at Rs 922, up 2 per cent.

MARKET OUTLOOK OF 14 MAR 2019

In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap index ended at 15,088, down 40 points or 0.26 per cent, while the S&P BSE SmallCap index closed at 14,888 Benchmark indices ended flat in choppy session on Thursday.At the close, the Sensex was up 2.72 points at 37754, while Nifty was up 1.60 points at 11343. About 1216 shares have advanced, 1468 shares declined, and 148 shares are unchanged. Nifty Bank has crossed 29,000 for the first time today, but ended off day's high.NTPC was the top gainer on the Nifty followed by IndusInd Bank, Yes Bank, Sun Pharma and Coal India, while Power Grid Corp lost 3 percent, followed by HCL Tech, Hero Motocorp, UltraTech Cement and Tata Motors.

MARKET REVIEW 12 MAR 2019


Extending their rally, benchmark indices ended over 1 per cent higher on Tuesday, driven by gains in financials and energy counters.Among sectoral indices, the Nifty Bank and Nifty Private Bank hit all-time highs during the intra-day trade, with ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank being the top gainers. The indices settled at 28,443.70 and 16,257.90, respectively.In the broader market, the S&P BSE Midcap index ended up 98 points, higher at 15,192, while the S&P BSE SmallCap index ended at 14,920.50, up 158 points.The Nifty50 after strong opening continued its run throughout the session and closed at highest levels in last six months on Tuesday. Strong global cues and FII flow lifted sentiment.The index closed above 11,300 levels and formed bullish candle on the daily charts for second consecutive session.

MARKET SUMMARY OF 11 MAR 2019

Both Sensex, and Nifty recorded their highest level in 2019. The S&P BSE Sensex closed above 37000 for the first time since September 19, 2018, while Nifty50 reclaimed 11,100 levels for the first time since September 21. Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 11 and polling would be held over seven phases till May 19, followed by counting of all votes on May 23, the Election Commission announced the dates over the weekend.

MARKET SUMMARY OF 08 MAR 2019

The Nifty50 closed listless session marginally lower on Friday, but managed to hold 11,000 levels for third consecutive session despite sharp fall in global peers on growth concerns.After opening marginally lower at 11,038.85, remained in the range throughout the session but did not break psychological 11,000 levels. The index touched an intraday high of 11,049 and low of 11,008.95, before closing 22.80 points lower at 11,035.40.
