Today markets ended with solid gains despite roller-coaster trading, as investors welcomed the budget's emphasis on higher growth and capital expenditure As well as overnight gains on the US market, the European market was also trending north in early trades.
It succeeded, after a long time, to close above the 50-day SMA on daily charts, which is broadly positive.In the short-term, 17400 and 17250 would be key support levels. Above these, the Nifty would touch the level of 17750-17850. However, if
the index slips below 17500, a quick intraday correction could drag the index down to 17400-17350.
