On wednesday, once again bulls dominated D-Street action as sensex, nifty climbed higher. The Sensex rose 695 points, to settle at 59,558 & the nifty 50 surged 203 points, to close at 17,780. Bajaj Finserv led the sensex gainers with gains of 4.96%, followed by indusind Bank, HCL Technologies, and Bajaj Finance. Tech Mahindra was the top laggard in the Sensex, down 1.4%. That was followed by Nestle India, Ultratech Cement, and Larsen & Toubro. Bank Nifty added 825 points to end above 39,300, broader markets mirrored the move. India VIX was up 6.64%.

Today markets ended with solid gains despite roller-coaster trading, as  investors welcomed the budget's emphasis on higher growth and capital expenditure As well as overnight gains on the US market, the European market was also trending north in early trades.

It succeeded, after a long time, to close above the 50-day SMA on daily charts, which is broadly positive.In the short-term, 17400 and 17250 would be key support levels. Above these, the Nifty would touch the level of 17750-17850. However, if the index slips below 17500, a quick intraday correction could drag the index down to 17400-17350.
