The Sensex opens gain after
growing as much as 100 points in morning trade on Tuesday. The nifty index down
it’s crucial psychological levels of 8300. After a volatile session, the market finally ended with a
bang. The Sensex closed 135
points up at 27780 while Nifty gained 50 pts at 8370 today. About 1717 shares advanced, 986 shares declined,
and 162 shares were unchanged. Tata Steel, Coal India, Sun Pharma, Lupin
and Bharti Airtel were big gainers on the Sensex. ITC gained 2 percent. Among
the losers are TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Hero MotoCorp and GAIL.The Indian equity markets which
were subdued throughout the intra-day trade on the back of Greece loan default,
bounced back and provisionally closed in the positive territory on Tuesday.
A barometer of the Indian equity markets the sensitive index (Sensex) of
the Bombay Stock Exchange provisionally closed 136 points or 0.50
percent up during the day's trade.The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also made gains and provisionally closed in the positive zone. It ended 50 points or 0.60 percent up at 8,381 points. Shares of Nestle India rallied 3.84 per cent intraday trade on Tuesday after the Bombay high court HAS allowed the company to export 2-minute Maggi noodles. And Brigade Enterprises Ltd ended the day 10.88 per cent higher or Rs 14.70 at Rs 149.8 in intraday trade on Tuesday, after the company announced that the Board of Directors of Brigade Properties, subsidiary of the company has approved acquisition of land in Chennai from Kansai Nerolac Paints for Rs 550 crore. And Marksans Pharma rallied as much as 9.61 per cent in intraday trade on Tuesday after the company acquired 100 per cent of the outstanding shares of New York-based Time-Cap Laboratories.
