MARKET SUMMARY FOR  01 DECEMBER 2015

The RBI in its fifth-bi-monthly-monetary-policy-statement kept policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 6.75% and kept cash reserve ratio (CRR) of scheduled banks unchanged at 4.0% of net demand and time liability (NDTL). Consequently, the reverse repo rate under the LAF was kept the same at 5.75%, and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 7.75%. The Sensex opened at 26,201, touched an intra-day high of 26,246 and low of 26,121. It finally ended with a gain of 24 points at 26,169. NSE Nifty opened at 7,958 hitting a high of 7,972 and low of 7,934, before ending with a gain of 20 points at 7,955.
