7,800 .The Indian equity market ended with smart gains on
Tuesday extending its winning streak to the fourth consecutive trading
session. The Sensex ended with a gain of 481 points at 25,627. The Sensex
opened at 25,358 touched an intra-day high of 25,671 and low of 25,358.
The Nifty closed with a gain of 142 points at 7,850. The Nifty opened at 7,777 hitting a high of 7,885 and low of 7,772.Mahindra & Mahindra was the best performer on both the benchmark indices and gained. State Bank of India and ICICI Bank rose 2.16 per cent and 5.50 per cent, respectively.Out of 1,804 stocks traded on the NSE, 528 declined and 1,017 advanced today.
