ended marginally lower on Friday led by a decline in HDFC, HDFC Bank, Sun
Pharma and Axis Bank.The S&P BSE Sensex ended at 35,809, down 67
points or 0.19 per cent, while the broader Nifty50 index settled at 10,724, down
22 points or 0.20 per cent, Benchmark indices registered strong recovery from the day's low point
with Nifty able to close above 10,700 level.BPCL, Power
Grid, NTPC, GAIL and Bharti Infratel are the top gainers, while JSW Steel, Sun
Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Indiabulls Hsg and Tata Steel are among major loser on
the Nifty.
Among the sectoral indices pharma, metal, auto and FMCG witnessed selling pressure, while some buying was seen in energy and infra space.

Bharat Dynamics is one of the leading defence PSUs in India engaged in the manufacture of Surface to Air
missiles (SAMs) Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs) underwater weapons launchers
countermeasures and test equipment. It is the sole manufacturer in India for
SAMs torpedoes ATGMs. It is also the sole supplier of SAMs and ATGMs to the
Indian armed forces. Shares of Bharat Dynamics soared 16 per cent to Rs 263 apiece on the BSE in an otherwise weak market after the company reported a
robust net profit of Rs 188 crore in December 2018 quarter.
