There was a strong boom in the market today. Today  sensex closed at a level of 38407 , up 224  points. At the same time, the nifty closed at the level of 11322 with a gain of 52 points & banknifty climbed 327 points to close at 22227.the nifty closed for the sixth consecutive day today, while the sensex closed for the fourth consecutive day. Today, there was a buying in metal and banking stocks. The metal index rose for the 8th consecutive day however, pharma, consumer durables stocks remained under pressure. Today axis bank,tata steel, icici bank, hdfc, powergrid, tech mahindra and sbi were among the top gainers. On the other hand, titan, sun pharma, bharti airtel and reliance industries were among the laggards. Meanwhile, april-june quarterly earnings announcements by bosch, motherson sumi systems, metropolis healthcare, central bank of india, bajaj electricals, honda india power products, rites, symphony also set the tone for the stock market today.
