Today august F&O series expired on positive note with modest gains.  Sensex and Nifty posted gains for the August series their third successive F&O series gain.The banknifty gaining for the fifth straight day ended 0.9% higher & Nifty has gained over 1500 points in the last five trading sessions. Pharma and Auto were the other major sectoral gainers, ending with gains of over 1% each While IT stocks were the only sectoral laggard ending 0.1% lower.Today indusind Bank, followed by HDFC twins, SBI, M&M, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, ITC and Asian Paints were among the top gainers On the other hand, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finance, HUL and NTPC were among the losers.
